Overview
All Elm Software products store information in a database.
The database resides on your computer and is represented by one file.
Our database file extenstion is '.elmdata'.
Default database locations
iDo Wedding Couple Edition
C:\Elm Software\iDo\Database\ido.elmdata
iDo Wedding and Event Professional Edition
C:\Elm Software\iDoWPE\Database\idowpe.elmdata
PrintJobs
C:\Elm Software\PrintJobs\Database\printjobs.elmdata
PasswordDock
C:\Elm Software\PasswordDock\Database\pwd.elmdata Recommendation
We recommend that you backup your database(s) on a weekly or monthly basis (or more frequent if you wish) just for safety's sake. Backing up the database applies to all of our products.
Backup Devices
1) Thumb Drive: The best backup devices are a thumb drive/memory stick/USB drive.
2) Online email account: If you have an online email account (Yahoo!, GMail, Hotmail, etc.) you can email the database file to yourself.
3) CD-R: Burning to CD-R is an option but our databases are usually about 1 MB to 2 MB...a CD-R is 650 MB+...so it might not be the best use of your CD.
Below is a graphic of our products' default destination folders on your hard-drive.
Note: It is possible that during the installation a different folder destination was chosen.
